As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread domestically and internationally, our well wishes and thoughts are with our members, their families, and the many affected communities. SPSP’s core focus is to serve its members through educational events, networking opportunities, resources, science funding, publication and promotion of research, and mentoring the next generation of social and personality psychologists. We will continue to do so through these trying times.  
Below are several programs and how they currently stand as impacted by COVID-19. Check back with this page as we will update it as new information becomes available.

Annual Convention - February 2021
SPSP has decided to cancel the in-person Annual Convention in Austin. SPSP will instead hold a completely virtual event in February 2021. If you plan to participate, the upcoming submission period will be the time to submit your work for consideration. The deadline for submissions has been extended and will now be open June 30 – August 4. More information is available here.   (Updated 6/26/20)
Summer Institute for Social and Personality Psychology (SISPP) - Summer 2021  Summer 2022
The SISPP Committee has decided to postpone SISPP 2021 to the summer of 2022. The event will take place at Ohio State University. More information is available here.   (Added 7/6/20)
Summer Psychology Forum - July 6 – 9, 2020  July 6 - 8, 2021
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Summer Psychology Forum has been postponed. More information is available here(Updated 5/21/20)
Society of Southeastern Social Psychologists - October 31, 2020
SPSP has decided to cancel the in-person SSSP conference in Atlanta. SPSP will instead be holding a completely virtual event  on October 31, 2020. Registration opens August 24. Submissions for talks and data bytes will be accepted August 24 – September 23; poster submissions will be accepted August 24 – October 7. (Updated 8/17/20)
Social-Personality Undergraduate Research (SPUR) Program - 2021
A newly revised SPUR will kick-off at SPSP 2021 and take place via remote research and mentorship from March to December 2021. SPUR is currently open to student applications (deadline 11/1).  (Updated 8/31/20)
